To promote renewable energy and energy efficiency, Turkmenistan is currently reviewing strategies and mechanisms for their implementation. Therefore, it is crucial to discuss further actions with key national stakeholders, international donors, and partners, while taking the opportunity to integrate lessons learned and experiences accumulated by EUMember States (EU MS) into the continued process of developing a sustainable energy strategy in Turkmenistan.

The conference will be a practical forum where decision-makers and experts can exchange practical experiences in implementing sustainable energy policies. Additionally, it will provide an opportunity to share experiences and best practices based on lessons learned by EU MS.

National stakeholders, policymakers, experts, professional associations, academic representatives, civil society, and donors will participate in the Conference.

The conference is organised by the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, SECCA project, and UNDP project “Sustainable Cities in Turkmenistan: Integrated Green Urban Development in Ashgabat and Awaza”.
