The conference was organised jointly by the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan, Turkmenbashi City Administration, the European Union’s project SECCA, and the UNDP project “Sustainable Cities in Turkmenistan: Integrated Green Urban Development in Ashgabat and Avaza”.

The event was held as part of the European Union – Turkmenistan Sustainable Energy Days 2024 and gathered national stakeholders, energy policymakers, professionals as well as professional associations, academia representatives and civil society organizations, donors, and IFIs.

This conference provided an action-oriented forum for decision-makers and experts to share experiences in the implementation of sustainable energy policies in practice. In addition, it also was an opportunity to share experiences and best practices based on lessons learned by EU Member States and Energy Community Contracting Parties.
